Our team has been hard at work deciding on the best way to be able to host more weddings on our peninsula overlooking White Lake. Well, we think we have found a great solution! Earlier this year, we were approached by the Muskegon Conservation District because they are working on cleaning up White Lake. The area in front of our hotel was one of the spots that was targeted through their research of having the best benefit to the local ecosystem.
Great, but what does that mean for you?
They are going to be re-doing the entire peninsula and the surrounding plants, trees and flowers. We will be designing this space with the idea that our peninsula will be the perfect place to get married and even have your reception. We will be making the peninsula flatter and wider. This will allow for more space for your ceremony as well as room for a tent. We will also be building a new Gazebo at the end of the peninsula.
With 23 guest rooms, our hotel is perfect to rent out the entire hotel, have your wedding, reception and never have to leave our property! Stay tuned for more updates on this project through the winter. We expect the work and plantings to be completed late Spring of 2013.

We know have bike rentals available for your stay. We have partnered with a great company out of Muskegon, called Bean Box Bike Rental. They have provided us with some great Schwinn bikes and a couple of Surrey’s, which are a blast to take out around Montague and Whitehall. If you don’t want to bring your bike along, but still want to get out and see the Hart / Montague Bike Trail, this is a great option for you. We are offering some great prices for these bikes. Full details will be up on our website soon, in the meantime, give us a call at the hotel to reserve your bike.
Love the idea of the Surrey, but not staying at the hotel? That is ok, you don’t have to be staying with us to rent a bike, anyone can get one!

We are excited to announce that we will be doing some renovations to the hotel!
We are going to be painting the entire interior of the hotel, including the public space and all of the guestrooms. In addition, we will be adding flat screen TV’s to all of the rooms. We are anxious to get this project started and know that our guests will be very happy with the upgrades.
In the last 10 months, we have already upgraded our beds, bedding and deck furniture. This is the next major portion of listening to our guests and giving them what they are looking for.
To complete the renovation, we will be closed from April 30th through May 10th, opening back up for our guests on May 11th.
