As summer draws to a close and the school year begins, consider taking one last trip up north while the weather’s still fine!

Ongoing Events This September
Lewis Farm Market offers fun for the whole family! Pet exotic animals at the petting zoo, play games on the farm, enjoy delectable treats and souvenirs in the gift shop, and don’t forget their world-famous corn maze!

The Montague Farmers Market offers a variety of seasonal and local fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants, baked goods, and more. The market is just a short walk from The Weathervane Inn and is open 9am to 1pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the entire month of September.

Thursday, September 20th, 5pm – 7pm @ The Lakeshore Museum Center
Listen to authors Norma Lewis and Christine Nyholm speak about their book, Images of America: Muskegon, which chronicles the history of the Muskegon area through beautiful images of the past and detailed narration.
Friday, September 21, 7pm – 8:30pm @ Hackley & Hume Historic Site
The Hackley & Hume Historic Site features the restored homes of two of the most famous lumber barons in Muskegon. While the site is open regularly to the public, this tour features an all access pass to areas of the homes that are rarely (if ever) seen! Don’t miss this rare event!
Saturday, September 22nd, 10am – 4:30pm @ Michigan’s Heritage Park
Enjoy an entirely free visit to Michigan’s Heritage Park. Take part in hands-on activities, ask questions to costumed interpreters, and learn about our beautiful area’s long ago past in a way you can’t anywhere else! The theme of the day will be Women Making History: Trailblazers in the Arts, Sciences, Innovation, and Culture.
